Emotional Support if You're Caught in the Rumination Cycle
It might take a while of sifting through all of your old regrets to realize that it's simply not worth it. That it chases people and opportunities away and makes your life seem stale.
Well I'm 36 now, and I've finally had enough of rumination. Rumination makes you ill. It literally causes your own body and mind to attack themselves.
Every time you feel like ruminating, try to remember the times whenyour mind was clear as crystal when things felt orderly and meaningful.
Rumination is the opposite of that. In order to maintain a crystal-clear perspective, we have to remain in the present.
This has as a different tone to it, and a different rhythm. Things aren't slowed up in the present. They are lighter and more comfortable.
They are also bearable. Rumination is like a dirty layer decade-old cellophane over everything. It makes life feel miserable, murky and is a headache to live through.
