Scrambled cities: If you're not gonna do the work(on your soul), then you might as well work til you die

There are two tiers in normal life. Those who are survive and those who thrive.  But nothing is a mistake in life: Nothing comes by chance. You have to prepare for it.  If you thought life was about making money and beating out the Jones's, you've lost already.  Life is: Desire for connection. All unhealthy competition is isolating. We live in an isolated-enough world already. This connection comes from a surprising place: Self-acceptance. A lot of us need to go back to the classroom. Emotional Support: You need Release!

We all take on so much during the day from bosses, from parents, girlfriends, spouses, etc. that most of us are emotionally constipated.

This means our fuse is shorter than ever and we don't allow those we love in as much as we used to. We all need to release as well as take, but doing so can mean the difference between maintaining our stability, and collapsing emotionally.

Finding Your Release Valve

Release is the process of finding yourself again while simultaneously letting something of yourself out into the world.

We risk getting stuck in life when we don't bounce our ideas off the world around us, either for fear of being rejected, or out of a simple tendency to reject ourselves from the get-go.

Releasing is a way of ensuring we don't go insane, or snap at those who care about us.

I often find that we only love those who love us as much as we love ourselves.

And we only love ourselves insofar as we trust our creative expression in the real world.
