Scrambled cities: If you're not gonna do the work(on your soul), then you might as well work til you die

There are two tiers in normal life. Those who are survive and those who thrive.  But nothing is a mistake in life: Nothing comes by chance. You have to prepare for it.  If you thought life was about making money and beating out the Jones's, you've lost already.  Life is: Desire for connection. All unhealthy competition is isolating. We live in an isolated-enough world already. This connection comes from a surprising place: Self-acceptance. A lot of us need to go back to the classroom. A lot of us need to take a silent breather and check in with what we need. This takes serious work. It's the real work. It relies on respect for others and self-respect.  A lot of people in the self-help community try to push the self aside: Manning up is the only side of it they see. But there are certain non-negotiables in this life. Certain things we can't cheat ourselves out of. We are not a piece of meat being acted on.    However, this is where God comes in. Some o...

We live in a garbage-in, garbage out-world.

The past few weeks have been terrible

The good person cannot accept that there is evil even in extreme Beauty. I tried to win a girl's heart with pretentions of wealth and extreme sigma male energy.

The clip of things was good at first. It was like the fiery mechanical winging of a swish new robotic dragonfly.

There were lights in all the right places and nothing untoward. Nothing to suggest that all would go haywire later on.

So when things did go haywire, when this swish new city I'd built in my mind when into decay and  lack and all things twisted, I was more than distraught.

But when it turned out that she was playing the same sordid game I'd been playing my whole life with girls who were uglier than me; that's when I turned irate.

Do you mean that you see me the same way I saw those women?

What a thing to put a man off life.

A man who has run things by an air of basic superiority.

A man who wants his children to grow up the same way.

And then to add fuel to the fire, I have this ugly girl who has been doing all manner of dirty things with men on weekends telling me that I have to repent.

Repent?!

How are things now?

I suppose there are lots of ugly things going on in this world.

But only the pretty ones get away with it.

I think the whole game is getting out of hand actually.

And the only response to this is a kind of neatness.

A kind of garbage-in garbage-out mentality.

Our forefathers' time made sense. Now we have a messed up world with a lot of messed up people in it.

I'm not saying that has to be our reality.

I'm just pointing out the difference.

And that social media is to blame can't be emphasised enough.
