Scrambled cities: If you're not gonna do the work(on your soul), then you might as well work til you die

There are two tiers in normal life. Those who are survive and those who thrive.  But nothing is a mistake in life: Nothing comes by chance. You have to prepare for it.  If you thought life was about making money and beating out the Jones's, you've lost already.  Life is: Desire for connection. All unhealthy competition is isolating. We live in an isolated-enough world already. This connection comes from a surprising place: Self-acceptance. A lot of us need to go back to the classroom. A lot of us need to take a silent breather and check in with what we need. This takes serious work. It's the real work. It relies on respect for others and self-respect.  A lot of people in the self-help community try to push the self aside: Manning up is the only side of it they see. But there are certain non-negotiables in this life. Certain things we can't cheat ourselves out of. We are not a piece of meat being acted on.    However, this is where God comes in. Some o...

You can't take it with you but you still have to try

Even with all the shenanigans of today's culture, you still have to try. There are any number of pitfalls as you wake up already. Now they had to introduce AI. Now things are going to get really crazy.

Don't you think it's going to end badly, all of this? AI Is the intensifier. Like social media, it simply intensifies what already is.

So it's bad. It's not heaven we're living in. It's a kind of messed up version of heaven where only the 1 percent get what they really want and now it'll be the 1 percent of the 1 percent. Eventually no one will. That's why they've got to ID us here as netizens so that we never have the power to revolt.

But that's coming down the pike. It's not here yet. So here we are and we're trying and often the more we try the more we fail. So why try at all? And the reason is because we never tried before, and maybe we'll be lucky this time around.

Because if there's any time to try it's now. Maybe we'll fail 9999 times, but on the 10,000th try we'll get it right and that's when we'll win. When you try this hard you always fail. You get all arthritic and bent out of shape. Your face turns as blue as a beat-up donkey's rear end.

You eventually get there though. All pussed-up and bloody; and although you're no longer pretty, you might be lucky enough to drag a pretty girl across the line with you.

It's like the Tao says. A million incompetent failures eventually invert and become success.
